Gogoro Inc has announced the immediate availability of its battery swapping ecosystem and Smartscooters in India. The company also unveiled its first India-made Smartscooter, the CrossOver GX250.

The CrossOver series is built on a revised all-terrain frame that allows for enhanced rigidity and comfort while also providing a multitude of storage, riding, and customisation options. The CrossOver will be available in three models in India: the CrossOver GX250, the CrossOver 50, and the CrossOver S. The CrossOver GX250 is available now, with the CrossOver 50 and CrossOver S following in 2024.
The CrossOver GX250 is Gogoro’s first India-made Smartscooter, manufactured in Maharashtra. The CrossOver GX250 incorporates the finest of Gogoro’s new CrossOver Smartscooters while also incorporating India-specific features sought by Gogoro pilot riders in India.
The CrossOver GX250 features a newly built all-terrain frame that provides enhanced rigidity for improved strength and stability in a variety of road situations. The redesigned frame also has the maximum ground clearance in Gogoro’s current vehicle lineup at 176mm.
With a novel mounting point expansion system that incorporates 26 locking points, the CrossOver GX250 is designed to adapt to diverse riding circumstances and gives passenger riding room as well as extensive storage possibilities. The CrossOver GX250 can easily handle most storage needs thanks to four luggage spaces that include a platform design headlamp, foot, seat, and rear cargo compartment. To transport extra, the rear seat can be folded up or removed as needed to enhance cargo storage.
