United States: General Motors (GM) has officially unveiled the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt, marking the return of one of America’s most popular and affordable electric vehicles (EVs). The latest edition of the Bolt combines advanced EV technology, enhanced connectivity, and competitive pricing to deliver an accessible and feature-rich electric mobility solution for a broad spectrum of drivers.

      Competitive Pricing and Impressive Range

The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt LT starts at $28,995, including destination fees, making it one of the most affordable long-range EVs on the market. With a GM-estimated range of 255 miles per charge, the Bolt surpasses many competitors in its price segment. Deliveries are expected to begin in early 2026 as part of a limited-run release, joining the Chevrolet Equinox EV in GM’s strategy to expand accessible electric mobility.

Scott Bell, Vice President of Global Chevrolet, commented:

“The Bolt was the industry’s first affordable long-range EV and has one of GM’s most loyal customer bases. By popular demand, the Bolt returns, now better than ever, celebrating its legacy with enhanced technology and affordability.”

      Advanced Technology and Features

The 2027 Bolt introduces multiple innovations:

      • Fast Charging and Range: 150 kW DC fast charging allows the battery to go from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes.

      • NACS Charging Port: Chevrolet’s first vehicle equipped with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, granting access to a wider network of public chargers.

      • Driver Assistance: Super Cruise driver-assistance technology and over 20 standard safety features, including Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Braking and Intersection Collision Mitigation.

      • Infotainment: 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, supporting apps such as HBO Max, Prime Video, and gaming options like Angry Birds.

      • Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) Capability: The Bolt can provide emergency home power through GM’s Energy Home System.

      Performance and Efficiency

The new Bolt is powered by GM’s X76 electric drive unit, producing 210 horsepower and 169 lb-ft of torque. It uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, known for lower costs and higher durability. Optimized regenerative braking enhances energy recovery and efficiency, even without engaging One-Pedal Driving mode.

      Interior Comfort and Connectivity

The 2027 Bolt features a driver-focused minimalist interior with an 11-inch driver display, wireless phone charging, and a redesigned dashboard integrating physical and digital controls. Optional features like a panoramic sunroof and OnStar connectivity make driving and charging stops more convenient and entertaining.

      Production and Availability

Production will take place at GM’s Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas, using both domestic and global components. Deliveries of the limited-run 2027 Bolt are expected to begin in Q1 2026, with the vehicle aiming to provide practical and affordable EV ownership for everyday drivers.
