Pune-based zero-emission truck technology business, Blue Energy Motors has joined hands with FPT Industrial, Iveco Group’s worldwide powertrain brand (MI: IVG).

Blue Energy MotorsFPT will acquire a minority investment in the firm as part of the arrangement.

While the organization is now concentrating on natural gas fuel applications, the two firms with a strategic agreement in place will collaborate closely on future technology deployments in the areas of heavy-duty vehicle electrification.

Blue Energy Motors’ strategic partnership with FPT Industrial will be a big step forward for the company, whose principles are based on developing solutions to decarbonize the environment.

On September 12, the business debuted India’s first Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) powered green truck at its newly opened factory in Chakan, Pune, and is pioneering the technology for alternative fuels. It has been stated that EVs will be one of the long-term solutions to lowering pollution from the commercial vehicle industry. With this collaboration, Blue Energy Motors will be able to meet its goal of decarbonizing India’s heavy-transport industry, thanks to FPT’s technology and R&D development.

On September 12, Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, introduced the 5528 42 trucks to the market in the presence of Gerrit Marx, CEO of Iveco Group, Sylvain Blaise, President of Iveco Group’s Powertrain Business Unit, and His Excellency Vincenzo de Luca, Ambassador of Italy to India. FPT Industrial is already supplying LNG engines to Blue Energy Motors’ vehicles.

Blue Energy Motors will be able to strengthen its position as a disruptor in the alternate energy-powered vehicle industry, ushering in a green revolution in the Indian trucking sector, as a result of this action. They will also be able to use FPT Industrial’s extensive worldwide network and automotive experience to provide cutting-edge solutions to Indian clients while also decarbonizing the transportation industry in the future.

Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, stated, “This is a watershed moment for Blue Energy Motors.” Expanding our cooperation with FPT Industrial will allow us to continue the company’s development and pioneer sustainable energy options like LNG and Electric in the future year. The investment underlines FPT Industrial’s complete support for Blue Energy Motors’ expansion in its ambitious aim to play a significant role in India’s decarbonization transition.”

“This advancement in our collaboration demonstrates FPT Industrial’s dedication to promoting breakthrough technology for sustainable mobility.” We strive to deliver transportation solutions that enable clients all over the world to run their companies more efficiently and economically while also protecting the environment. “We are delighted and thrilled to be able to achieve this in such an important nation as India with our trusted partner, Blue Energy Motors,” said Sylvain Blaise, President of, Powertrain Business Unit, Iveco Group.
