Ford has announced the improved 2024 F-150 Lightning, complete with cutting-edge technology and a lower Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).
The Rouge Electric Vehicle Centre is now selling the 2024 F-150 Lightning, which has several innovative technological innovations designed to improve performance, economy, and driver ease. One of the standout features is the Vapour Injection Heat Pump System, which is intended to maximise energy efficiency, especially during the winter months. Vapour injection is used in both heating and cooling modes of this novel technology to guarantee peak performance at any temperature.
The new charging speed display on the instrument cluster, which offers users real-time insights into charge status and speed as well as an expected finished charge time, is another noteworthy improvement. Furthermore, the XLT and above trim levels now come equipped with Smart Hitch, On-Board Scales, 360 Degree Camera, Pro Trailer Backup Assis, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, and Trailer Reverse Guidance as standard equipment from the Tow Technology Package.
Along with innovations that improve driver convenience and safety, Ford also debuts the Ford BlueCruise hands-free highway driving function on certain trims. Other features include In-Lane Repositioning and Lane Change Assist.
In a groundbreaking move, Ford has expanded charging access for Ford EV owners by gaining access to the Tesla Supercharger network. This partnership provides Ford electric vehicle drivers with access to over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers through the BlueOval Charge Network, making it the largest integrated fast-charge network across North America. This development more than doubles access to DC fast chargers, significantly enhancing charging convenience for Ford EV owners.
Furthermore, Ford has reduced the MSRP for the 2024 F-150 Lightning across various trims, making electric truck ownership more accessible to a wider audience. With the Flash Extended Range trim now available starting under $70,000, customers can enjoy advanced technology and features at a competitive price point.
The F-150 Lightning continues to solidify its position as America’s best-selling electric truck and was recently voted the top-rated electric truck by Edmunds, further cementing its status as a leader in the electric vehicle market.
