A brand-new beach town cruiser that perfectly embodies the sophistication, glitz, and laid-back atmosphere of the French Riviera is the Fiat Topolino Vilebrequin. More importantly, Stellantis intends to expand EV production at its Kenitra Assembly Plant in Morocco, which is also preceded by the upgraded EV.
The new Topolino Vilebrequin, which is based on the Dolcevita version of Stellantis’ electric microcar, is more like a Mercury Villager Nautica or Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson than it is a brand-new vehicle by itself. Its colours and textiles are influenced by the French surfwear company. It is ready to take you on a carefree summer vacation in France or Italy, which are also the only two markets where the “collector’s edition” Vilebrequin Topolino is presently available. It features open sides, a soft rollover roof, and turtle-tastic fabric designs.
According to Roland Herlory, CEO of Vilebrequin, “This interaction between the Fiat Topolino and our iconic sea turtle led to a high-quality, lower-impact, and perfectly whimsical design.” “It is the ultimate summer toy and the ideal remembrance of future sun-soaked memories.”
Similar to the standard Topolino, the new Vilebrequin model has a 5.5 kWh battery pack that guarantees an electric range of up to 75 km (about 45 miles), and it is electrically limited to a top speed of 45 kph (just under 30 mph). The starting price is €13,490 ($15,810), and you’re dead inside if you don’t want one.
The latest iteration of Stellantis’ electric microcar platform, which powers the Fiat Topolino, Opel Rocks-e, and Citroën Ami, is the Vilebrequin Topolino. Production of the small EVs has increased from 20,000 units per year to 70,000 units in 2025, according to reports.
According to Mopar Insiders, that figure is set to rise even further. Samir Cherfan, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Stellantis for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) area, revealed plans to increase the company’s Kenitra Assembly Plant in Morocco’s annual manufacturing capacity from over 230,000 vehicles to over 530,000.
