Ferrari has officially entered the electric vehicle (EV) arena with the launch of its first all-electric supercar, the Ferrari Elettrica, during its Capital Markets Day 2025 event in Maranello, Italy. This groundbreaking EV marks a significant step in Ferrari’s strategy to blend high-performance driving with sustainable mobility while retaining the brand’s iconic performance DNA.

Ferrari Elettrica: Extreme Performance Meets Electric Innovation

The Elettrica is a four-seat coupe powered by a quad-motor setup, one on each wheel, delivering a combined output of over 1,000 horsepower. Key performance highlights include:

      • Acceleration: 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds

      • Top Speed: 310 km/h (193 mph)

      • Battery Range: 530 kilometers (329 miles) per full charge

      • Charging: Supports ultra-fast charging up to 350 kW

These specifications position the Elettrica as one of the most powerful and capable electric supercars globally.

      Design and Technology Innovations

The Ferrari Elettrica combines grand tourer styling with advanced EV engineering, featuring:

      • Adaptive active suspension and independent rear-wheel steering for enhanced handling

      • Unique sound simulation system that replicates Ferrari’s iconic engine tone

      • Premium interior with modern connectivity and luxury features tailored for both comfort and driver engagement

Strategic Shift in Ferrari’s EV Roadmap

While the Elettrica showcases Ferrari’s EV capabilities, the automaker has refined its broader electric vehicle strategy:

      • All-electric models are now projected to account for 20% of the lineup by 2030

      • Combustion models remain a core focus at 40% of the lineup

      • Hybrids will continue to make up the remaining 40%

This strategic adjustment allows Ferrari to maintain profitability while gradually transitioning into the electric mobility space.

      Market Availability and Future Outlook

The Ferrari Elettrica is expected to reach customers in late 2026, with additional technical details and variants to be unveiled in the first half of 2026. The launch reflects Ferrari’s commitment to delivering sustainable, high-performance vehicles without compromising the brand’s legendary driving experience.
