Exicom Tele-Systems Limited has inaugurated a new integrated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, marking a major expansion of its production capabilities for EV charging infrastructure and critical power solutions.
The new facility represents an investment of ₹216 crore and is aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing in India’s rapidly growing power electronics sector. Spread across 18.4 acres with a built-up area of about 2,80,000 square feet, the plant will significantly increase the company’s manufacturing footprint.
In its first phase, the facility is expected to boost production capacity by 2.5 times and create over 750 jobs in the region. The plant will manufacture EV charging equipment, lithium-ion battery systems, and critical power infrastructure used in sectors such as electric mobility, telecom networks, and data centres.
A key feature of the facility will be India’s first EV charger interoperability testing centre, designed to ensure compatibility between EV chargers and vehicles from different manufacturers. The plant will also produce TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules from Tritium.
The facility has been designed with sustainability in mind and includes a 1 MW rooftop solar installation, rainwater harvesting systems, and 40% green cover, supporting environmentally responsible manufacturing.
