Evey Trans Private Limited, an electric bus operator under Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), has inducted 65 new electric buses into the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) fleet. This expansion is part of the TSRTC 500 Low-Floor City Bus Project, aimed at promoting sustainable urban mobility and enhancing public transport services in Hyderabad.
65 Electric Buses Deployed at Ranigunj Depot
The newly added buses were deployed at the Ranigunj Depot, which is one of five depots under the 500-bus project, alongside the CNT, Miyapur, HCU, and Hayatnagar depots. Out of the total allocation for Ranigunj Depot, 100 buses are planned, with 65 buses already delivered and the remaining expected by January 2026. The 500-bus initiative includes 450 non-AC and 50 AC low-floor electric buses, ensuring a mix of comfort and affordability for city commuters.
Enhancing Urban Connectivity
The buses will operate on key routes connecting Secunderabad, Kondapur, Isnapur, Borabanda, Ramayampet, Gachibowli, and Miyapur, facilitating improved connectivity across the city. According to Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, the new buses will connect 373 residential colonies, strengthen public transport infrastructure, and reduce congestion while promoting clean energy adoption.
EveyTrans’ Nationwide Expansion
Sandeep Raizada, CEO of Evey Trans, highlighted that this launch marks the company’s 69th depot in India and fifth in Telangana, underlining EveyTrans’ commitment to expanding electric mobility solutions across the country. The partnership with TSRTC demonstrates a strong push toward zero-emission public transport in major Indian cities.
Driving Sustainable Urban Mobility
The addition of 65 electric buses reinforces Telangana’s vision for sustainable urban transport. By reducing reliance on diesel buses, the initiative helps cut emissions, lower noise pollution, and support the city’s climate goals. EveyTrans and TSRTC’s collaboration reflects a broader trend across India toward electrification of public transportation, contributing to a greener and more efficient urban mobility ecosystem.
