On June 24, India’s electric vehicle (EV) and auto component stocks presented a mixed picture, with notable gains in select counters like HBL Engineering and Exide Industries, while several heavyweights, including Bharat Electronics and JBM Auto, slipped into negative territory.

HBL Engineering surged by 4.39%, making it the top gainer of the day, driven by continued investor interest in energy storage and advanced battery solutions. Exide Industries also posted a solid 1.67% gain, reflecting positive sentiment around its expanding role in India’s EV battery ecosystem.

Other notable gainers included Uniparts India (+2.25%), Exicom Tele-Systems (+1.57%), and Minda Corporation (+1.13%), signaling growing investor confidence in Tier-1 EV component suppliers.

However, market momentum was weighed down by losses in several key players. JBM Auto declined the most, down 1.51%, possibly on profit-booking after recent rallies. Bharat Electronics fell by 0.58%, while Amara Raja Energy & Mobility slipped 0.39%, despite long-term optimism around energy solutions and battery tech.

Market leaders like Tata Motors (+0.36%) and Hero MotoCorp (+0.93%) held steady, indicating stable investor sentiment in established EV transition plays. Ola Electric edged up by 0.61%, reflecting mild investor confidence as it prepares for upcoming product launches.

In summary, June 24 saw selective buying in battery and component firms, while broader sentiment remained cautious. Investors appeared to be rotating capital based on short-term catalysts and long-term growth visibility in India’s evolving EV landscape.
