      On July 2, shares of electric vehicle (EV) and auto-related companies in India had a mixed day. Some stocks moved up while others ended in the red.

      Bharat Forge was the top performer, gaining 2.12% to close at ₹1,311.40, supported by strong investor interest in its EV and defense business. UNO Minda followed with a 1.79% gain, closing at ₹1,098.60, likely boosted by positive outlook on its component supply deals.

      Other gainers included HBL Engineering (up 1.04%), Tata Motors (up 0.70%), Hero MotoCorp (up 0.42%), Bosch (up 0.41%), and Olectra Greentech (up 0.23%). These gains reflect steady confidence in companies involved in EV production and development.

      On the losing side, OLA Electric fell the most, dropping 2.29% to ₹41.06, as investors remained cautious after its recent market listing. HEG declined by 2.04%, while JBM Auto, Bharat Electronics, and Greaves Cotton also recorded losses.

      In summary, the EV and auto sector had a mixed trading day, with select stocks like Bharat Forge and UNO Minda standing out amid overall cautious investor sentiment.
