India’s electric vehicle (EV) and auto component stocks presented a mixed market performance on June 27, reflecting cautious investor sentiment amid sector-specific developments and broader market volatility.

Among the top gainers, HEG surged by 2.90% to ₹509.7, driven by renewed interest in graphite electrodes and clean energy material applications. Exicom Tele-Systems Ltd. followed closely, advancing 2.56% to ₹201.21, supported by optimism around EV charging infrastructure and recent order wins. Bharat Forge rose by 1.81% to ₹1,309.70, continuing its upward trend backed by strong defence and EV component demand.

Bharat Electronics also gained 1.08%, closing at ₹414.5, amid sustained defence spending and electronics manufacturing tailwinds. Other positive movers included Hero MotoCorp (+0.99%), Greaves Cotton (+0.82%), and Tata Motors, which climbed 0.61% to ₹686.9, showing consistent momentum in EV segment leadership.

However, not all stocks fared well. Olectra Greentech fell 2.07% to ₹1,164.20, reflecting possible profit booking after recent rallies. Amara Raja Energy & Mobility dropped 0.75% to ₹962, despite positive developments in its battery division. Exide Industries slipped slightly by 0.11%, even as it continues to expand its lithium-ion operations.

OLA Electric Mobility Ltd., listed recently, recorded a minor dip of 0.17%, settling at ₹43.09. Market watchers suggest investor caution due to production delays and competition concerns.

Overall, the day closed with divergent sector movements, indicating a selective approach from investors focusing on companies with robust order books and innovation momentum in the EV transition space.
