On October 29, 2025, shares of Indian electric vehicle (EV) makers and auto components ended up mixed as some investors selectively bought into the wider mobility sector while earnings reports continued and global market factors were still at play.

Among those that finished in the green was Greaves Cotton, gaining 2.84% to ₹230.03 in what has been positive sentiment regarding the growing range of electric 2-and 3-wheelers. HEG recorded the largest single gain on the day, up 8.57% to ₹580.60, with strong institutional buying being discussed. Also, in the green was JBM Auto, up 3.11% to ₹677.65, thanks to speculation of new contracts related to EV components. Olectra Greentech finished up 2.06% at ₹1,526.00, indicating continued promising delivery of electric buses.

Among major component makers, Minda Corporation rose 1.50% to ₹575.10, and UNO Minda gained 1.15% to ₹1,215.00, reflecting sustained interest in automotive electronics and EV integration. Bharat Forge maintained their positive trend, rising 1.08% to ₹1,322.20, with optimism for defense and mobility exports helping the stock’s movement.

Battery players were also trading strong — Exide Industries was up 1.03% to ₹384.60 and Amara Raja Energy & Mobility advanced 0.94% to ₹1,013.30 amid greater investment into lithium-ion and energy storage. Exicom Tele-Systems was up 0.43% to ₹139.61, continuing a recent trend higher following positive news on charging infrastructure projects.

However, some large-cap names saw mild profit booking. Bosch slipped 3.01% to ₹37,380.00, while Bharat Electronics dropped 1.54% to ₹407.20. Hero MotoCorp declined 1.04%, and Tata Motors closed marginally lower at ₹411.35.

In summary, the EV and automotive indices had a balanced session with individual stock movements, reflecting measured optimism ahead of the upcoming policy discussions and quarterly results.
