On October 28, 2025, stocks associated with Indian EVs and the automotive sector, had a mixed day of trading as investors were cautious, while there are also uncertainties globally, and signals regarding local earnings. Some stocks related to mobility picked up buying momentum, while some were taking small profits after some upside over the past while.

Greaves Cotton was the top gainer of the day, rising 5.31% to ₹223.68, on the continuing excitement over its expanding electric two- and three-wheeler business. HEG Ltd. was also up 2.03% to ₹534.80, demonstrating strong sentiment in the graphite electrode sector based on robust demand for EV battery materials.

Bharat Forge climbed 0.52% to ₹1,308.10 as its price momentum continues on expectations of continued strength from its EV components and defense segments. Likewise, JBM Auto rose 0.47% to ₹657.25 as its recent upward trend was sustained by fleet electrification initiatives and a firm order book.

In the battery and energy sector, Amara Raja Energy & Mobility and Exide Industries each registered modest advances of 0.20%, supported by a favorable outlook for India’s increasing manufacturing space in batteries.

On the other hand, Bosch Ltd., a supplier to the automotive sector, decreased 1.20% to ₹38,540, while Hero MotoCorp was down 0.66%, to ₹5,609.50, as investors turned cautious regarding expectations on slow sales for the holiday month. Bharat Electronics also recorded a decline of 0.39%, as the sector experienced a rotation toward other industrial companies.

Exicom Tele-Systems was virtually unchanged for the day, closing at ₹139.02 with a fractional loss of -0.02%, indicating a pause after the shares had increased in the EV charging solutions sector recently.

All in all, the general results in the marketplace were a neutral tone, though there were pockets of bullishness regarding EV manufacturing, EV component suppliers, and green mobility enablers, while investors still kept their overall sentiment subdued with macro data ahead.
