On November 6, 2025, most Indian electric vehicle (EV) and auto parts company stocks concluded the day in the red while the overall market sentiment was negative. Investors conducted profit booking owing to some recent gains in the sector, compounded by weak cues from the global markets and cautious market trading ahead of economic data twice a week.

Greaves Cotton took the biggest hit as investors booked profits following the stock’s rapid ascent over the previous several weeks. It landed on the bottom of the pack with an 8.07% decline, closing at ₹203.11.Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. also slipped 4.98% to ₹47.57, while Uniparts India fell 4.16% and HEG dropped 3.98%. Exicom Tele-Systems was down 2.86%, reflecting weakness in smaller EV component counters.

Major auto component makers also felt the pressure. Bosch declined 2.20% to ₹37,020.00, while Minda Corporation lost 3.06% to ₹573.35. Uno Minda and JBM Auto both fell over 1%, mirroring broader market weakness.

Among other notable movers, Bharat Electronics fell 1.53%, Bharat Forge slipped 0.40%, and Sona Comstar eased 0.19%. However, a few companies managed to resist the downtrend — Tata Motors gained 0.34% to ₹407.85, Hero MotoCorp rose 0.33%, and Olectra Greentech advanced 0.43%, supported by optimism in the EV and bus segments.

Analysts said Thursday’s weakness was largely due to global market uncertainty, profit booking, and cautious investor behaviour. Despite the day’s declines, they expect India’s EV and auto sector to maintain a positive long-term outlook, backed by policy support, strong consumer demand, and steady investment inflows.
