On July 7, the performance of India’s electric vehicle (EV) and auto component-related stocks was mixed, reflecting cautious investor sentiment across the sector.

HBL Engineering gained 1.01% to close at ₹636.8, marking the highest increase among the tracked companies. Exide Industries rose by 0.71% to ₹386.15, while Minda Corporation gained 0.73% to reach ₹524.4. Bosch also saw a modest rise of 0.33%, ending at ₹36,045. Olectra Greentech, known for its electric buses, recorded a small increase of 0.06% to ₹1,200.

However, several stocks ended in the red. Exicom Tele-Systems suffered the biggest loss of the day, falling by 6.64% to ₹187.51. HEG declined by 3.21% to ₹489.25, and Bharat Electronics dropped 2.45% to ₹417.1. Greaves Cotton slipped by 2.20% to ₹200.16, while Sona Comstar fell by 2.12% to ₹468.3. JBM Auto was down 1.61%, closing at ₹636.2, and Uniparts India declined by 1.40% to ₹410.

Tata Motors, a key player in India’s EV transition, remained nearly flat, ending just 0.03% lower at ₹688.85. Hero MotoCorp dropped by 0.88% to ₹4,307, and Ola Electric Mobility slipped by 0.48% to ₹41.53. UNO Minda fell slightly by 0.44%, while Bharat Forge declined by 0.64%.

The stock movements reflect the market’s mixed response to recent developments in the EV space. Investors are closely monitoring global raw material prices, production-linked incentive rollouts, and quarterly updates from major auto and battery companies before making stronger moves in the sector.
