On July 22, 2025, India’s electric vehicle (EV) and auto component sector showed a mixed trend in the stock market. While some companies posted strong gains, others saw minor declines, reflecting cautious investor sentiment and stock-specific movements.

      Top Gainers

Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. led the rally with an impressive 7.17% jump, closing at ₹43.05. This strong rise could be linked to increased interest in Ola’s upcoming IPO and its expanding EV product line. Olectra Greentech also performed well, gaining 4.39% to reach ₹1,327.30, likely fueled by expectations of new electric bus orders. Sona Comstar rose by 3.40%, closing at ₹489, as investor confidence remained high due to its advanced EV drivetrain components. Tata Motors, a major EV player, climbed 2.48% to ₹690.1, continuing its positive momentum in both the passenger and commercial EV segments.

Other notable gainers included JBM Auto (1.77%), Bharat Forge (1.58%), Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (1.10%), and Uno Minda (0.95%).

      Mild Gainers and Flat Moves

Bosch and Hero MotoCorp saw modest gains of 0.60% and 0.50% respectively, while HEG closed slightly higher at 0.10%.

      Stocks That Declined

HBL Engineering fell by 1.31%, possibly due to weak short-term demand outlook. Uniparts India slipped 0.85%, while Bharat Electronics dropped 0.68%.

Other losers included Exicom Tele-Systems Ltd. (-0.65%), Exide Industries (-0.64%), Minda Corporation (-0.41%), and Greaves Cotton (-0.34%).

Overall, the performance of EV and auto-related stocks on July 22 reflected a mix of optimism in emerging EV leaders and cautious sentiment in the broader auto component space.
