UK-based electrification specialist Equipmake has signed a £2.4 million ($3.28 million) contract to provide electric drivetrain systems to Argentine-Brazilian bus manufacturer Agrale for 23 electric buses.
The agreement builds on a previous £5.45 million deal signed in September 2025, under which Equipmake delivered drivetrain systems for 50 electric buses currently being rolled out in Buenos Aires, Brazil. The two companies have an established partnership, having jointly developed an electric bus model first unveiled in 2022.
Under the new contract, Equipmake will supply a fully integrated electric drivetrain package that includes an electric motor, inverter, control systems, and battery pack. The system combines Equipmake’s proprietary technology with selected third-party components.
The follow-on order reflects the positive performance and deployment of the initial fleet and further strengthens the collaboration between the two companies as they continue working to expand sustainable public transport solutions in the region, according to Equipmake’s leadership.
