Electrify America, the largest open DC fast-charging network in the United States, has announced the expansion of its hyper-fast EV charging infrastructure across Maryland. The initiative is part of the company’s ongoing mission to accelerate electric vehicle adoption by providing reliable, accessible, and high-speed charging solutions.
The expansion will introduce new hyper-fast charging stations capable of delivering up to 350 kW, significantly reducing charging times for EV drivers. These stations will be strategically located along major highways, urban centres, and key travel corridors, ensuring convenience for both local commuters and long-distance travellers.
Electrify America’s investment also supports Maryland’s broader clean energy and transportation goals. By expanding its charging footprint, the company is helping reduce range anxiety, improve EV accessibility, and encourage more residents to make the switch to sustainable mobility.
“Maryland is a critical market for EV adoption, and expanding our hyper-fast charging network will play a vital role in supporting the state’s ambitious clean energy targets,” said an Electrify America spokesperson. “We are committed to delivering a seamless charging experience for all EV drivers, regardless of the vehicle they drive.”
With this development, Maryland is set to strengthen its position as a leader in EV infrastructure in the United States, offering drivers faster, more reliable, and future-ready charging solutions.
