The Decathlon Btwin LD 940E Connect, a city bike with an electric motor, has been launched in the Netherlands, France and Spain. The model was launched in 2024 with a 650W peak power motor and CVT. Some of the features include a suspension fork, integrated display and location tracking through a smartphone app.
An Owuru motor featuring 250W power (650W maximum) and 65 Nm torque drives the new Btwin model. While featuring an adjustable pedaling cadence that ranges from 40 to 90 rpm, the motor features a CVT (Continuous Variation Transmission) for automatic shifting of gears. A maximum of 130 km range of support is reportedly achievable using the 694 Wh battery in Eco mode, 74 km in Tour mode, and 64 km in Turbo mode. You can track the location of the bike or review journey information in the Decathlon app by connecting it with your smartphone through Bluetooth. The bike also has an integrated color screen with a USB-C charging point that shows data such as the battery level and the time.
The features also include Vittoria E-Randonneur Tech tires, Tektro R280 hydraulic disc brakes, and a suspension fork that has 30 mm of travel. There are also attachments such as a kickstand, fenders, rear baggage rack, and a headlight. There is an aluminum frame available in two sizes: S/M for people who stand between 1.55 m and 1.74 m tall and L/XL for people who are between 1.75 m and 1.95 m tall. It only comes in a single color, light brown/beige. The large size weighs 26.5 kg, as a general rule.
