Citroën India has taken a significant step into the commercial and institutional mobility sector with the launch of its new ‘Drive’ range of vehicles and the introduction of a comprehensive Fleet Assured ownership programme. The move marks a strategic shift for the French automaker as it deepens its presence in India’s growing business-to-business (B2B) mobility and fleet solutions market.

Purpose-Built Drive Range for Fleet and Commercial Use

The newly launched Drive range is tailored for high-utilisation mobility services such as ride-hailing, employee transportation, and institutional fleet operations. Under the “Citroën 2.0: Shift into the New” strategy, the company aims to provide long-term value, durability, and operational efficiency for fleet operators.

      The Drive range includes:

      • 1 electric vehicle (EV) for sustainable fleet mobility

      • 2 CNG models with factory-fitted, government-approved kits

      • 3 petrol variants compliant with the latest E20 fuel standards

All Drive models carry unique Drive badging, symbolising their specialised focus on commercial applications. The lineup has been engineered for cost-effectiveness, lower downtime, and extended vehicle life, addressing the core needs of institutional buyers and mobility service providers.

Fleet Assured Program: End-to-End Support for Operators

Complementing the new vehicle range, Citroën India also announced its Fleet Assured programme, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to support the entire lifecycle of fleet vehicles. The programme offers a robust set of benefits, including:

      • Extended Warranty: Up to 5 years / 300,000 km for enhanced peace of mind

      • Dedicated B2B Workshops: Night-time operations, priority servicing, and same-day preventive maintenance

      • Priority Parts Supply: Faster turnaround through Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

      • Care 4 You Support: Dedicated single points of contact (SPOCs), structured escalation routes, and fleet-specific financing & insurance options

      • Digital Tools: Platforms like Fleet Connect and Pitstop-Pro provide real-time data dashboards, maintenance insights, and fleet engagement tools

      • Elite Club Membership: Additional service benefits, premium SLAs, and loyalty perks for larger fleet operators

      • EV-Specific Support: Battery health check reports and specialized services to ensure uptime of electric fleets

According to Citroën, the program has been designed after extensive consultation with fleet operators to ensure maximum uptime, predictable costs, and reduced operational stress.

Industry Context: Capturing a Growing Market

India’s institutional mobility sector is witnessing rapid transformation, fuelled by the rise of ride-hailing services, employee mobility programmes, and the government’s clean mobility push. Demand for reliable, cost-efficient, and sustainable fleet vehicles is at an all-time high, making Citroën’s entry timely.

By offering vehicles across EV, CNG, and petrol options—supported by a complete aftersales and lifecycle management program—Citroën aims to position itself as a trusted partner for commercial fleet operators.

      Official Statement

Shishir Mishra, Business Head & Director – Strategic Partnerships and Institutional Business, Stellantis India, said:

“With the new Drive range and Fleet Assured program, we are going beyond selling vehicles—we are providing complete care, peace of mind, and assurance to our mobility partners. In fleet operations, every hour of uptime translates into higher profitability and better customer experience. With Citroën, it’s always More Miles, More Money, Less Downtime.”

A Strategic Milestone for Citroën India

The launch of the Drive range and Fleet Assured marks a strategic milestone in Citroën’s India journey. Having already established its presence in the passenger EV segment with the ëC3, the company is now expanding its reach into institutional mobility with a solutions-driven approach rather than simply selling vehicles.

Industry analysts suggest that this move could give Citroën an edge over competitors by offering not just cars but also a complete ecosystem—from aftersales support and financing to digital fleet management tools.

      Looking Ahead

With rising demand for electric and alternate-fuel fleet vehicles, Citroën India’s latest offering strengthens its positioning in the commercial sector while supporting the country’s broader goals of sustainable mobility and reduced carbon emissions. The Drive range and Fleet Assured programme are expected to play a key role in reshaping institutional mobility solutions, catering to both the evolving needs of fleet operators and India’s long-term transport ambitions.
