Expect Citroen C3 EV to Launch in India Before March 2023

French automobile company Citroen has announced to launch its C3 EV in India as early as Q1 2023.

Citroen C3Citroen C3 was recently launched in India, and while we expected the car to be a subcompact SUV – or an Aircross in Citroen’s terminology – Citroen launched it as an SUV-inspired B-segment hatchback.

It is now one of the larger hatchbacks on offer in India, and the electrified version will surely be an interesting vehicle, as not only will it establish Citroen & Stellantis – Citroen’s parent group – in the electric vehicle market in India, but will also be one of the most accessible EVs in the market.

Tata Motors also announced on World EV Day that an electrified version of the Tata Tiago will go on sale in India this month.

With the Citroen C3 also getting the electric treatment, it could very well be only the second electric hatchback on sale in India at the time of launch.

Being inherently smaller than sedans and compact SUVs, hatchbacks will have lesser space for battery packs, and both models could be on the lower end of the range spectrum.
