South Korean EV charging network operator Chaevi Company Ltd has signed a partnership with Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC, a subsidiary of the Al Rostamani Group, to establish an electric vehicle charging network in the UAE.
Under the US$5.5 million agreement, Chaevi will supply 1,000 EV chargers over the next two years. The chargers range from 11 kW low-cost models to 100 kW rapid chargers and will be installed at key buildings across Dubai, beginning with properties owned by the Al Rostamani Group. Notably, the Al Rostamani Group is the only private company in the UAE holding a charging point operator (CPO) license.
Chaevi is a leading EV charger manufacturer in South Korea, with over 10,000 chargers installed domestically and exports to the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia. The company is also preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) on the Kosdaq stock exchange.
The deal marks a significant step for EV infrastructure expansion in the Middle East and strengthens Chaevi’s international presence.
