Rajeev Chauhan is now BYD India’s Vice President of the company’s electric passenger vehicle business. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, who is retiring after more than three decades in the Indian automotive industry, is replaced by him. During his last job, he founded BYD India’s EV Passenger Vehicle Business.
Chauhan, BYD has over 25 years of expertise and has worked for several organizations, including Volvo Car India and Honda Cars India. His emphasis on maximizing retail capacity while maintaining a strong customer focus has improved market share, changed customer experiences, developed a highly lucrative dealer network, and ultimately increased business profitability.
In India, the company sells the e6 electric MPV, the ATTO 3 electric SUV and its latest launch is the BYD SEAL, a luxury electric sedan with a line-up that has a range of upto 650 kms, can accelerate to 100kph in upto 3.8 seconds, is equipped with Cell To Body (CTB) technology, and has ADAS Level 2 and 9 airbags among other features.
