The nation’s first zero-emission two-wheeler will be introduced by BMW Motorrad.

With a single charge, the 8.9 kWh battery-powered CE 04 is said to have a 130 km range. The electric vehicle (EV) can reach a high speed of 120 km/h and go from 0 to 50 km/h in 2.6 seconds according to the e-motor’s peak power of 31kW.

A standard charger from BMW Motorrad is supposed to take four hours and twenty minutes to fully charge; with an optional fast charger, this period can be slashed to one hour and forty minutes.

The two-wheeled EV rides on 15-inch wheels shod with a 120-section tyre at the front and a 160-section tyre at the back.

The CE 04 employs a tubular steel frame with a 35mm telescopic fork at the front and a preload adjustable monoshock that’s attached to a single-sided swingarm. The scooter rides on 15-inch wheels shod with a 120-section tyre at the front and a 160-section tyre at the back. Seat height is 780mm, which can be increased to 800mm with BMW’s optional comfort seat. The CE 04 weighs 179kg with standard equipment.

The CE 04 has various features, including three ride modes, traction control, ABS, a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation, and more. The overall design looks futuristic and features distinct design elements and unconventional bodywork.

Currently, BMW Motorrad India has not disclosed any other details apart from the launch date. However, considering the C 400 GT was launched at Rs 11.20 lakh (ex-showroom India), expect the CE 04 to be priced nearly twice as much.
