The #SmartCitizen campaign has been launched by BluSmart, the top electric vehicle (EV) ride-hailing service and EV charging infrastructure network in India, to urge Indian people to use their democratic right to vote on election day. With the help of this project, voters in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Gurgaon will be empowered and encouraged to take an active and responsible part in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
BluSmart will provide reduced rides to its clients on election dates in Bengaluru (April 26, 2024) and Delhi NCR (May 25 2024). This would allow eligible residents, notably Indian young and first-time voters, to exercise their basic right to vote comfortably and on time.
A one-time 50% discount will be given to BluSmart users who go anywhere within 30 km of polling places in Bengaluru and Delhi NCR. On the days that these cities have elections, you may take advantage of this offer by using BluSmart trips to and from the polling place, which run from 6 am to 7 pm. The programme demonstrates BluSmart’s dedication to encouraging civic participation and responsible, astute citizenship.

A month-long election awareness campaign will be executed through online and offline channels such as communication inside BluSmart EVs, in-app notifications, emailers and social media. The #SmartCitizen campaign will further educate users on the significance of voting and how one vote can make a difference. Moreover, the incorporation of a voting badge by BluSmart for riders who participate in elections will incentivise civic engagement and foster a sense of accomplishment.
