Blue Energy Motors has reached a remarkable milestone by saving 10,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions since the deployment of its Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-powered green trucks. This achievement is equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of over 4,00,000 mature trees, underscoring the company’s pivotal role in decarbonizing India’s commercial transportation sector.

This milestone aligns seamlessly with India’s commitment to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2070. The transport sector, particularly commercial vehicles, accounts for a disproportionate share of carbon emissions. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, commercial vehicles contribute nearly 40% of CO2 emissions in road transport while comprising only 4% of the total vehicle fleet. These figures highlight the urgent need for sustainable alternatives like LNG and EV, which have emerged as game-changers in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Commenting on the achievement, Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, said, “ Achieving the milestone of saving 10,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions is a testament to our unwavering commitment to driving sustainable change in the trucking industry. At Blue Energy Motors, we are not just transforming logistics with our alternate fuel trucks; we are setting a benchmark for green innovation and demonstrating the potential of clean energy solutions in decarbonizing logistic operations.”

In addition to its leadership in LNG-powered vehicles, Blue Energy Motors is expanding its horizons by investing in other technologies as electric vehicle (EV). The company is developing advanced EV solutions tailored for commercial applications, further strengthening its commitment to carbon reduction and innovation. This dual focus on LNG and EV technologies positions Blue Energy Motors at the forefront of India’s green transportation revolution, addressing both immediate and long-term sustainability challenges.

India’s logistics sector, projected to grow at a CAGR of 8% to reach $380 billion by this year, demands rapid adoption of sustainable technologies. LNG trucks are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap, offering immediate environmental benefits for long-haul operations. Simultaneously, advancements in EV technology, driven by companies like Blue Energy Motors, promise to redefine commercial transportation by eliminating tailpipe emissions entirely.
