BLive and Awign, the largest work-as-a-service platform in India that serves top businesses in various industries, have announced a strategic alliance. Over the course of the next 12 months, this partnership hopes to onboard 10,000 riders for BLive’s EV Rental Program, changing last-mile deliveries in India.

Renowned for its creative task fulfillment solutions, Awign focuses on optimizing workflows, guaranteeing superior results, and skillfully controlling expenses for sizable enterprises. Awign works with top companies in industries like automotive, retail, FMCG, education, manufacturing, construction, pharmaceuticals, and more. It has a community of over 1.5 million gig workers.

Through our collaboration with BLive, gig workers will have access to reasonably priced and environmentally friendly electric vehicles (EVs), revolutionizing the last-mile delivery landscape. Financial obstacles are removed with BLive’s EZY EV Rental Program, which offers flexible rental terms and affordable weekly rates as low as Rs 1,500. By allowing riders to purchase their EVs after 36 months, the “Rent to Own” strategy promotes economic independence and sustainability.

Despite ongoing financial obstacles, industry polls show that 77% of last-mile delivery riders choose electric vehicles (EVs) due to their environmental benefits. The effort of BLive tackles these problems by offering competitive prices to encourage a wider usage of EVs. Leading manufacturers such as TVS, Ather, Bounce, and Revolt are partnered with by BLive to guarantee premium electric cars that save a lot of money on fuel costs, insurance, and upkeep.

Riders on the BLive EZY platform can acquire EV with minimal deposits, without the requirement for CIBIL check. The program includes comprehensive insurance, roadside assistance, and extended warranties, ensuring reliable service. Additionally, gig workers benefit from significant fuel cost savings and the chance to contribute to a sustainable future.

Samarth Kholkar, CEO and Co-Founder of BLive, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration with Awign marks a significant milestone for BLive. Our EZY EV Rental Programme has been instrumental in reducing the financial barriers for delivery workers, and this partnership will further accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in India. Together with Awign, we are committed to transforming last-mile delivery and promoting sustainable practices.”

Gurpreet Singh,Co-founder and CBO of Awign, commented, “At Awign, we have been actively working in the space of sustainable mobility and related technologies for a while now. From deploying charger installation infrastructure across India to now onboarding 10,000 riders for BLive’s EZY EV Rental Programme, we continue to work towards operational excellence as well as sustainability. “

The partnership between BLive and Awign aims to accelerate electric mobility adoption among gig workers, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Deploying 10,000 electric bikes within the next 12 months, BLive and Awign seek to set a new standard for sustainability and economic empowerment in the gig economy.

The Indian EV industry is growing rapidly, with the market for electric two-wheelers projected to reach1.6 million units by 2025. The gig economy, especially last-mile delivery services, significantly contribute to this growth. This collaboration leverages this trend, making the transition to electric both accessible and advantageous for gig workers across India.
