Bijliride, one of India’s fastest-growing two-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) rental platforms, has announced a major expansion into three of the country’s largest urban markets—Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in the company’s national growth roadmap for FY 2025–26, following its strong traction in Hyderabad.

With this expansion, Bijliride aims to make clean, affordable, and technology-driven mobility accessible to millions of urban commuters across India’s busiest cities.

Aggressive Fleet Expansion Across Three Metro Cities

As part of the first phase of its multi-city rollout, Bijliride plans to deploy a total of 6,500 electric two-wheelers, including

      • 2,500 EVs in Bengaluru

      • 1,500 EVs in Mumbai

      • 2,500 EVs in Delhi NCR

This will be in addition to the company’s existing 3,500-strong fleet in Hyderabad. The company also plans to scale up further over the next six months based on demand, utilisation trends, and customer adoption.

Designed for Daily Commuters, Students and Gig Workers

Bijliride’s expansion strategy focuses on enabling affordable and reliable EV access for:

      • Office professionals commuting daily

      • Students navigating urban travel

      • Gig-economy workers and delivery partners dependent on high-usage mobility

The company’s EV rental ecosystem is built to provide last-mile convenience, cost efficiency, and sustainability for high-frequency urban riders.

Strengthening OEM Partnerships for Scalable Growth

To support the large-scale deployment, Bijliride is significantly strengthening its OEM partnerships. While 60–70% of the fleet will remain company-owned, the remaining 30–40% of vehicles will be deployed through strategic partnerships, including an expanded collaboration with BGauss and other leading EV manufacturers.

      The new fleet will feature:

      • Upgraded battery systems

      • Advanced telematics

      • Improved real-world riding range

      • Enhanced performance reliability

Leadership Speaks on Urban EV Rental Opportunity

Commenting on the expansion, Vishal Vikram, co-founder & CMO of Bijliride, said the demand for affordable and dependable electric mobility is rapidly rising in India’s largest cities.

He highlighted that markets like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi NCR offer high EV rental potential, especially among daily commuters who seek cost-effective, flexible mobility solutions. The company’s entry into these cities strengthens its ambition of becoming a category-defining EV rental platform while contributing to cleaner urban transportation.

App-Based Booking with Flexible Rental Options

Bijliride continues to offer a fully app-enabled rental ecosystem through its mobile application, allowing customers to book EVs on:

      • Daily plans

      • Weekly subscriptions

      • Monthly rental packages

Vehicles will be available across a dense network of pickup and drop points located near:

      • Metro stations

      • IT corridors

      • Commercial business districts

      • Residential zones

This ensures seamless urban mobility with minimal access friction.

Targeting 10,000 Active EVs by FY26

With this multi-city expansion, Bijliride is accelerating its journey toward its vision of 10,000 active EVs on Indian roads by FY26. The company remains committed to:

      • Strengthening its technology platform

      • Ensuring round-the-clock fleet reliability

      • Supporting India’s clean mobility transition

      • Reducing urban emissions and noise pollution

As Bijliride scales operations across major metros, it is positioning itself as a key contributor to India’s shared electric mobility ecosystem.
