Bijliride, India’s leading SaaS-powered electric two-wheeler rental platform, has announced the launch of its Franchise-Owned, Franchise-Operated (FOFO) Model, a model of expansion, marking a major step toward democratizing EV entrepreneurship in India. With this initiative, the company plans to expand its franchise network to Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Delhi NCR, while aiming to onboard over 20 franchise partners and deploy 5,000 vehicles across India by FY2026. The new model is aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs, SMEs, and mobility operators to participate in the growing EV ecosystem, while enabling Bijliride to expand in a capital-efficient and community-driven manner.

Through this initiative, franchise partners gain access to Bijliride’s proprietary fleet management technology, along with comprehensive marketing, branding, and operational support. Strengthened by tie-ups with OEMs and financial institutions, the model simplifies both vehicle procurement and funding for its partners. Designed for small business owners, fleet operators, and first-time EV entrepreneurs, the franchise model presents a ready-to-run, futuristic business opportunity with transparent operations and sustainable profitability potential.

Under this structure, Bijliride follows a 70:30 profit-sharing arrangement, ensuring shared success between the company and its partners. With an initial investment of ₹14–16 lakhs for a 50-vehicle fleet, franchisees can expect to achieve breakeven after 13 months of steady operations. While Bijliride oversees technology, lead generation, and brand consistency, franchise owners manage local operations, fleet performance, and customer engagement, creating a robust and scalable ecosystem built on shared growth.

“At Bijliride, our goal has always been to make electric mobility scalable, profitable, and inclusive,” said Mr Shivam Sisodiya, CEO & Co-Founder, Bijliride. “With the franchise model, we’re opening doors for local business owners to become active participants in the EV revolution supported by our brand credibility, digital ecosystem, and operational know-how. We believe this model will not only empower entrepreneurs to achieve financial independence but also help accelerate the transition toward clean mobility in India. Our vision is to build a trusted network of partners driving sustainable change on the ground.”

With this launch, Bijliride is paving the way for a decentralised, inclusive, and sustainable mobility network across the country. The franchise model reinforces the company’s long-term vision of driving widespread EV adoption, supporting local entrepreneurship, and building a cleaner, smarter future for urban mobility.
