Bajaj is planning to launch an updated Chetak Premium on January 5th, and the improved e-scooter will get fancier features, including a new TFT display.

The current Chetak lineup already includes an Urbane and a Premium variant, but the two scooters are extremely similar. With the updated Chetak Premium, Bajaj is likely to broaden the gap between the two variants. The Chetak Urbane will carry on as the more affordable and more basic version, while the updated Chetak Premium will present the more expensive and more feature-rich option.

The company has announced on social media that the revised Chetak Premium will launch on January 5 at 1pm. It has also released teaser photos of the scooter’s components, including a good view of the updated TFT screen. We may infer that the revised scooter will have turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity from the display readout. It is most likely to keep having riding modes as well.

The remaining portion of the scooter, which resembles the contemporary Chetak Premium almost exactly, is also seen in the photos. It will still have the stylish, rounded appearance, clever alloy wheels, and clean single-sided front suspension. Additionally unaltered are the floorboard, lighting, seat, and apron storage area.

It is unknown at this time whether changes will be made to the battery pack and engine. The Chetak Premium currently has a 2.9kWh battery pack with a stated range of 108 km; at the very least, software updates should boost this to 113 km, as was the case with the newly released Chetak Urbane.
