With retail sales of 174,909 units from January to November 2024, up 184% year over year, Bajaj Auto is set to launch the largest upgrade for the Chetak ever. The company continues to observe high demand for its Chetak electric scooter.
The goal of this upgrade is to make the Chetak more useful. Bajaj Auto has been attempting to match rivals like the TVS iQube, Ola S1, and Ather Rizta, which all provide significantly more room. In order to free up more boot space, the business has designed a new chassis that relocates the battery pack beneath the floorboard.
A longer range could be achieved by switching to a new battery pack design, which could also boost capacity. We don’t anticipate a significant rise, though, if this does occur. For comparison, depending on the model, the Bajaj Chetak’s stated IDC range presently ranges from 123 to 137 kilometers.
The scooter’s design and other features are probably going to stay the same. The Chetak’s design has been widely accepted by consumers of all ages, and Bajaj Auto will not change this formula. New color schemes will probably be present, but that will probably be the limit of the visual alterations.
It is anticipated that the new Bajaj Chetak electric scooter would be on sale in mid-December. The present model’s prices, which vary from Rs 96,000 to Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), are probably going to remain consistent.
