Bajaj Auto has expanded its electric mobility portfolio with the launch of the WEGO P9018 electric three-wheeler, priced at ₹4.41 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Unveiled on February 9, 2026, the new model claims the title of India’s longest-range electric three-wheeler, offering a certified range of 296 km on a single charge.
The WEGO P9018 is equipped with a 17.7 kWh battery pack—the largest currently available in the Indian electric three-wheeler segment. Bajaj Auto attributes the extended driving range to a combination of the high-capacity battery, an upgraded Battery Management System (BMS), regenerative braking, and an optimized vehicle design.
Designed for medium- to long-distance operations, the electric three-wheeler features a two-speed transmission and offers 36% gradability, enabling it to perform efficiently across varied terrain conditions. Bajaj Auto is offering a five-year warranty on the vehicle, positioning it as a durable solution for operators in urban, semi-urban, and rural markets who require higher passenger and luggage-carrying capacity.
Commenting on the launch, Samardeep Subandh, President of Bajaj Auto’s Intra-City Business Unit, said the WEGO P9018 has been developed to address the growing demand for high-capacity electric three-wheelers with extended range in India’s last-mile mobility segment.
The WEGO brand continues Bajaj Auto’s legacy in passenger mobility and reinforces its position as the world’s largest manufacturer of three-wheelers. The company has exported over 21 million motorcycles to more than 100 countries and recently became the first two-wheeler manufacturer globally to achieve a market capitalization of ₹2 trillion.
