German luxury carmaker Audi has launched a China-specific product initiative, introducing a range of new electric and combustion engine models tailored exclusively for the world’s largest automotive market.
The initiative reflects Audi’s long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in China, a market that continues to be a key growth driver for the brand. The company announced that the lineup will include multiple battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) as well as advanced internal combustion engine (ICE) models, developed to meet the diverse needs of Chinese customers.
Audi said the new programme demonstrates its dual-track approach—expanding electric mobility while maintaining efficient combustion technology. This strategy ensures the company caters to China’s growing demand for premium EVs while also addressing consumer interest in conventional models.
“China remains the most dynamic automotive market globally, and our initiative underlines our commitment to delivering innovation, sustainability, and choice for our customers here,” Audi stated.
Industry experts note that this move comes at a time when global automakers are localising strategies to remain competitive in China’s fast-evolving EV landscape.
With this initiative, Audi aims to strengthen ties with its Chinese partners and customers while accelerating its journey toward sustainable mobility.
