Ather set to unveil EL scooter platform August

During the next Ather Community Day, Ather will also introduce its new Grid fast chargers and Ather Stack 6.0, the company’s new software platform.

In the coming months, Ather Energy will be making several significant announcements. The second Ather Community Day will be held in August of this year, albeit the Bengaluru-based two-wheeler EV startup has not yet disclosed the precise date. This annual event took place in April of last year.

Ather has stated in a press statement that it will introduce its next-generation electric scooter platform, codenamed EL, at the upcoming Community Day event in August. Ather will also introduce a new line of electric two-wheeler concepts, some of which will be based on the new platform.

Ather Community Day 2025: What to expect?

There is a lot of conjecture that Ather will display a number of reasonably priced electric scooters during the next Community Day, which will aid the company in growing its customer base. In the electric two-wheeler market for now, Ather is the only significant manufacturer without a model that costs less than Rs 1 lakh. At least one product in that price range is available from competitors such as Bajaj, TVS, Ola Electric, Vida (Hero), and Greaves. Ather’s next EL platform, nevertheless, could be able to close this disparity.

In addition to this new EL platform, Ather is developing additional technologies, such as its next-generation Grid fast chargers, which are supposed to speed up and simplify charging. The forthcoming Ather Community Day will also feature demonstrations of the new Grid fast chargers. Because Vida has adopted Ather’s open-sourced charger connector, Ather e-scooters can be recharged at 1.5 km/min with current Ather Grid chargers, while Vida e-scooters can be recharged at 1.2 km/min.

Furthermore, Ather is preparing to launch Ather Stack 6.0, an updated software platform that should add more features to its lineup. It is expected that the brand’s electric scooters will see significant technological advancements and improvements thanks to the new software.
