Ather Space, the company’s first experience center, was opened in Colombo, Sri Lanka. After expanding into Nepal in November 2023, this is Ather’s second international market entry. Customers from Sri Lanka will be able to test ride and buy Ather’s flagship scooter, the Ather 450X, which is positioned in the performance sector, at the Experience Center.

In collaboration with Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Sino Lanka Private Limited, Atman Group, and Sensei Capital Partners, the Experience Center was opened. Evolution Auto will oversee network growth, service operations, and sales as Ather’s national distributor in Sri Lanka. To encourage the use of electric cars (EVs) and give consumers a more seamless experience, the business will also endeavor to install Ather Grid fast-charging stations throughout Sri Lanka.

Ather Energy Limited Chief Business Officer Ravneet Singh Phokela was excited about bringing the Ather 450X to the Sri Lankan market. He highlighted the scooter’s performance attributes, which are ideal for negotiating urban routes and a variety of terrains, including its handling, acceleration, and maneuverability. Although the Sri Lankan EV market is still in its infancy, Phokela stated that Ather is eager to help it grow and views the nation as a crucial component of its international expansion plan.

In 2023, Ather Energy made its debut in Nepal, an international market. It had set up 16 Ather Grid fast-charging stations and five Experience Centers in Nepal by October 31, 2024. Ather has more than 2000 Ather Grid fast-charging stations and 239 Experience Centers spread across 175 locations in India. A third site is planned for AURIC, BIDKIN, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, and Ather also runs two production facilities in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
