Ather Energy Limited has announced the launch of its latest electric scooter, the Ather Rizta, in Nepal, marking the next phase of its international expansion. The move aims to strengthen Ather’s presence in the region and diversify its product offerings to cater to a broader range of customers.
Ather’s Growth in Nepal
Ather entered the Nepalese market in November 2023 with its Ather 450 series and has since expanded its footprint with 9 Experience Centres and 6 Service Centres operated by national distributor Vaidya Energy Pvt. Ltd. The company has also installed 22 Ather Grid fast chargers across the country, building a supportive EV ecosystem for local customers.
Speaking about the launch, Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, said:
“Nepal was our first international market, and over the last two years, we have seen strong consumer interest and a very encouraging response to the Ather 450 series. With the launch of the Rizta, we are tapping into a new segment of buyers who prioritise comfort and convenience in their everyday rides.”
Features of the Ather Rizta
The Rizta comes with a large seat and 56 litres of total storage space, including a 34L under-seat capacity and an optional 22L front trunk accessory. A spacious floorboard offers ample legroom, while safety is enhanced with SkidControl technology.
It also features a 7-inch TFT dashboard with connected functions such as Google Maps navigation, Bluetooth music, and call controls through AtherStack Pro.
International Expansion
Following its entry into Nepal, Ather expanded to Sri Lanka in December 2024, where it now operates 19 Experience Centres and 9 Service Centres. In India, the company’s network includes 446 Experience Centres and 3,997 Ather Grid fast chargers.
The introduction of the Rizta in Nepal reflects Ather’s growing international ambitions and commitment to providing innovative, rider-focused electric mobility solutions.
