ARC Electric Scales to 150 Electric SUVs in Delhi NCR, Emerges as Region’s Largest Premium EV Fleet Operator

India’s electric mobility transition is entering a new phase, with enterprise demand driving scale in premium segments. Reflecting this shift, ARC Electric has scaled its fleet to 150 electric SUVs in Delhi NCR, emerging as the region’s largest premium EV fleet operator.

The milestone comes amid a broader transition in corporate and government mobility, where EV adoption is moving beyond compliance-led pilots to large-scale, performance-oriented deployments. Premium segments such as executive transport and airport mobility, long dominated by diesel fleets—are now seeing increasing electrification, driven by both cost economics and ESG mandates.

While much of India’s EV growth has been concentrated in two-wheelers and small commercial vehicles, high-utilisation SUV fleets remain a relatively untapped segment, making ARC Electric’s scale a significant development in the evolving mobility landscape.

“The EV conversation is clearly shifting from adoption to efficiency and scale,” said Abhinav Kalia, Co-Founder & CEO, ARC Electric. “Enterprises today are not just looking at sustainability—they are evaluating EVs as a viable, long-term mobility solution that delivers on performance, reliability and cost.”

A key challenge in EV fleet operations has been utilisation, which directly impacts profitability. ARC Electric has addressed this through its cluster-based deployment model, reducing non-revenue kilometres from 30–40% to 10–15%, significantly improving fleet productivity and economics.

The company operates a technology-led, asset-light platform, partnering with leasing firms, NBFCs and fleet operators to scale efficiently without heavy capital investment. Its EV fleets offer running costs of approximately ₹2 per km, compared to ₹5–6 per km for conventional fuels, strengthening the case for enterprise-led electrification.

The development also underscores a larger industry trend: EV adoption in India is increasingly being driven by economics and execution, rather than subsidies alone. ARC Electric’s growth builds on its continued momentum in the sector, including achieving operational profitability and working with ecosystem partners such as Invest India to accelerate adoption.

As India targets higher EV penetration, fleet-led electrification, particularly in high-utilisation, enterprise-driven segments—is expected to be a key driver of scale, with premium EV fleets emerging as the next frontier in the country’s mobility transition.
