The concepts were recognized with The Economic Times Awards for Design & Creativity 2026, winning gold and silver for product design and creative mobility design respectively.
Called the ‘Swiss Army Knife of Scooter’, the Ampere Xpress concept scooter won the Golden Award for Most Creative B2B Product Design. Alongside, the Greaves Xargo won the Silver Award for the Most Creative Mobility Design. This reinforced GEML’s position as a design-led innovative EV manufacturer, committed to forward-thinking and purpose-led mobility solution provider shaping the future of green mobility in and for India.
Designed as a next-generation B2B mobility solution, the Ampere Xpress Concept caters to the evolving needs of last-mile and delivery ecosystems. Celebrating its versatility and rider-focused engineering, the Ampere Xpress, with its rugged design, modularity, and connected features have made it a preferred choice for the recognition. The Xpress is capable of carrying approx. 230 kg payload, offering a 60 kmph top speed, with flexible battery options and battery swapping compatibility. Greaves Xargo likewise has been designed as a modular cargo carrier with a payload capacity of 300 kg, featuring a 5kWh battery, offering 100km range in one charge. Both concepts are enabled with IoT connectivity, making these an ideal solution for high-mileage mobility needs such as gig workers, delivery riders, and commercial fleet operators.
