Ampere, the electric 2-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has announced a significant upgrade to its flagship electric scooter, the Nexus, India’s Electric Scooter of the Year and holder of five national records. The new enhancements, launched on World EV Day, include the advanced Nex.IO tech platform and Map-Mirroring technology, designed to offer riders a fully connected and feature-rich riding experience.
The upgraded Nexus integrates next-generation features into its LFP battery-powered platform, delivering seamless navigation, smarter safety measures, and real-time connectivity. The Map-Mirroring technology enables riders to view full-screen navigation on the scooter’s 7-inch TFT display, complete with zoom, estimated time of arrival, and distance to next turn.
Other notable upgrades include an advanced dashboard providing battery status, RPM, speed, and service alerts. Riders can also manage music and calls directly from the scooter’s touchscreen or handlebar controls, ensuring convenience without compromising safety. The Ampere Connect Companion App complements these features by offering battery health monitoring and remote tracking capabilities.

The Nexus has also made headlines for its endurance capabilities, recently reaching Shipki La Pass at 13,200 feet, just 200 meters short of the Line of Control (LOC). This expedition demonstrated the scooter’s robust performance under extreme conditions and was recognized by the India Book of Records, highlighting Ampere’s commitment to innovation and reliability in electric mobility.
