Assurance Intl Limited, a leading player in lubricants and automotive components in India, announced the relaunch of ACDelco, the globally recognized automotive aftermarket brand owned by General Motors, in the Indian market. The relaunch is being undertaken pursuant to an official licensing and strategic partnership with General Motors.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Rakesh Sharma, MD, Assurance Intl Limited, said the collaboration brings together the strengths of both organizations. “This partnership is a natural synergy between ACDelco’s global legacy in automotive aftermarket solutions and Assurance Intl’s manufacturing expertise, quality experience and distribution capabilities in the Indian automotive sector.”

Mr Mahesh Ravindran, Country Lead (India) – Commercial Operations of Chevrolet Sales India said “The relaunch of ACDelco automotive batteries and lubricants products in India through an official licensing arrangement is aligned with our global aftermarket brand strategy. Assurance Intl’s operational capabilities and understanding of local market requirements provide a strong platform for the ACDelco brand in the country.”

As part of the collaboration, Assurance Intl will act as the official licensee for ACDelco in India, overseeing manufacturing, marketing, and nationwide distribution of select aftermarket products. The initial product lineup includes automotive batteries and a range of high-performance lubricants designed for passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles operating under Indian driving conditions.

The company said localized manufacturing will help ensure competitive pricing while maintaining global quality standards associated with the ACDelco brand. The products will be distributed through a multi-tier distribution network covering distributors, retailers and service workshops across key automotive markets in India.

To support the India rollout, Assurance Intl has established dedicated manufacturing capabilities for the ACDelco portfolio across two product categories. The company operates a state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facility at Hisar, Haryana, which will produce automotive batteries under the ACDelco brand for the domestic market. For lubricants, production will be undertaken at its blending and packaging facility at Hisar, designed to manufacture a range of high-performance engine oils and automotive fluids tailored for Indian driving conditions.

Both Giant Companies are confident with the collaboration to explore future-ready solutions such as eco-friendly lubricants and advanced battery technologies, aligned with evolving vehicle technologies and sustainability trends.
