Spanish infrastructure giant ACCIONA, through its electric mobility brand Silence, has launched a significantly upgraded version of its popular Silence S02 electric scooter, aimed at improving range, ride stability, usability and smart connectivity for urban commuters and professional fleets. The refreshed model strengthens Silence’s position in the European electric scooter market, especially in last-mile delivery and shared mobility segments.
Lighter Frame and Improved Stability for Urban Riding
One of the key upgrades in the new Silence S02 is its lighter chassis, with the scooter now weighing 132 kg, making it more agile and easier to maneuver in congested city traffic. To further improve safety and road handling, the electric scooter now features a larger front wheel, enhancing balance and stability across uneven urban roads.
For the first time, the S02 also comes with a dedicated under-seat storage compartment, large enough to accommodate a full-face helmet—significantly improving everyday rider convenience.
Extended Certified Range of 138 km
The upgraded Silence S02 delivers a certified riding range of up to 138 kilometres, placing it among the top performers in the urban electric scooter category. The model continues to use Silence’s signature 5.6 kWh removable battery pack, which can be easily detached and charged at home using a standard power socket.
Additionally, riders can swap the battery in under 30 seconds at Silence’s battery-swapping stations across Spain and France, making the scooter especially suitable for fleet operators and shared-mobility companies that depend on minimal downtime.
Two Variants for Different Urban Applications
The new Silence S02 is available in two European homologation variants to suit different user needs:

S02 L1e – Limited to 45 km/h, positioned for urban commuters and priced at €2,990 in Spain.

S02 L3e – Capable of speeds up to 85 km/h, ideal for faster city travel and professional use, priced at €3,490 in Spain.
Both versions offer consistent performance, battery compatibility and smart features.
Smart Connectivity via My Silence Mobile App
The upgraded S02 features advanced smart connectivity through the My Silence mobile application. Key digital functions include:

ACCIONA stated that the new Silence S02 has been engineered not only for individual riders but also for delivery services, professional fleets and shared scooter operators. The combination of long range, removable battery, fast swapping, smart connectivity and low running costs makes the S02 a strong solution for urban logistics and micromobility platforms.

With this upgrade, Silence continues to expand its footprint in the European electric two-wheeler market as cities accelerate their transition toward clean, zero-emission transport. No India Launch Announced Yet
While the upgraded Silence S02 has been officially launched across European markets, there is currently no confirmation regarding its entry into the Indian market. Industry observers, however, believe that growing demand for urban EVs in India could make it a potential future market for Silence.
