In a significant development for the electric mobility sector in Northeast India, A Plus Charge has announced a strategic partnership with Ather Energy, one of India’s premier electric two-wheeler manufacturers. The collaboration is aimed at building a robust EV charging infrastructure to boost electric vehicle adoption across the region.

Under the agreement, Ather Energy will deploy fast chargers at strategic locations across several northeastern cities. These chargers will be powered by A Plus Charge’s high-capacity infrastructure and will support Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS)-compatible Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs), ensuring high uptime and a seamless user experience.

The initial rollout will focus on Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Shillong, and Siliguri, with further expansion planned in Jorhat, Dimapur, and Agartala. Charging stations will be strategically placed in urban hubs, along key commuting corridors, and at high-footfall zones to support the growing community of EV users in the region.

“We are excited to partner with Ather Energy, a company that shares our vision of sustainable and smart mobility,” said Samyak Jain, Founder and Director of A Plus Charge. “This collaboration will not only accelerate EV adoption in the Northeast but also reinforce A Plus Charge’s position as the region’s top full-stack Charge Point Operator (CPO).”

The joint initiative aims to develop an inclusive and future-ready EV ecosystem in one of India’s most promising yet underserved markets for clean transportation. Installations are set to begin soon.

This partnership aligns with the national push toward sustainable mobility and offers new momentum for cleaner, connected transport in India’s northeastern states.
