The e-Access, Suzuki’s first electric scooter, is anticipated to go on sale this month. The entry-level Bajaj Chetak is also planned.
The market for electric two-wheelers is expanding quickly, and several manufacturers are releasing new models. Legacy companies have also entered the electric scooter market in addition to the recent EV start-ups. The top four new electric scooters in India will be examined in this article.
Suzuki e-Access
With the introduction of its first model, the e-Access, Suzuki is prepared to make its entrance in the electric two-wheeler market. The e-scooter is slated to go on sale this month, or June 2025, and will be marketed as a regular urban transportation option. A 4.1 kWh electric motor coupled with a 3.07 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack will power it.
The e-Access’s stated range is 95 km, yet its maximum speed is only 71 km/h. The electric scooter’s features include a 4.2-inch TFT LCD instrument dashboard that can link to smartphones wirelessly using Bluetooth.
The Hero Vida VX2
On July 1, Vida will introduce a brand-new electric scooter. The e-scooter, known as VX2, was sighted last month without any camouflage and is anticipated to be priced below the V2 series. Although there is currently little information available, the spy photos show that the VX2 and the V2 share some design features, including the switchgear, headlights, and tail lamps.
It will have the same 12-inch wheels, a physical key slot, a smaller TFT display, and more. Although there is currently no confirmation, we anticipate that the future Vida VX2 series will share the battery pack with the V2.
Cost-effective Bajaj Chetak
Type According to media sources, Bajaj is prepared to introduce a new, reasonably priced entry-level e-scooter in India that would probably be priced lower than the 3503 model. The Chetak 2903, the brand’s best-selling model, will serve as the basis for the new, reasonably priced e-scooter, which is expected to go on sale later this month or in June 2025.
More riding range, more under-seat storage, and a floor-mounted battery pack are just a few of the many improvements the new EV scooter is expected to receive over the Chetak 2903.
The New Electric Scooter
From TVS Later this year, TVS plans to launch a new entry-level electric scooter for the Indian market. The e-scooter, which is expected to be named Orbiter, will be situated beneath the iQube line. Although we don’t have all the information, the next low-cost TVS e-scooter is anticipated to cost approximately Rs. 1 lakh.
Regarding the powertrain, it might be similar to the iQube in terms of basic parts, such as an electric motor installed on the hub. To keep expenses under control, it is anticipated to have a comparatively shorter equipment list.
