3ev Industries has deployed AI-powered dash cameras from Cautio across a fleet of 10,000 electric three-wheelers to improve safety for drivers, passengers, and communities. Over 1,200 vehicles equipped with these dashcams are already operational in Bengaluru and Chennai, and all new vehicles from 3ev’s production lines will include Cautio systems as standard.
The collaboration emphasizes safety and operational excellence, with Cautio’s technology designed specifically for Indian urban environments to ensure reliable performance even in areas with limited network coverage.
Cautio’s edge AI technology processes data on-device, reducing reliance on cloud connectivity and minimizing blind spots. The system monitors driver posture and attention, providing real-time alerts for fatigue, distraction, or phone use. Its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) detect collision risks, lane departures, and other hazards in chaotic traffic conditions. All trip data is centralized on a dashboard, giving fleet operators real-time visibility and analytics.
Beyond hardware deployment, the partnership includes joint investments in R&D, driver training, and community road safety initiatives, creating a structured approach to safer electric three-wheeler operations. The AI-enabled dashcams are expected to play a key role in setting industry safety standards, monitoring vehicle performance in real-time, and improving emergency response across Indian cities.
This initiative represents a significant step in enhancing safety and accountability in India’s rapidly growing electric three-wheeler segment, ensuring that technological innovation supports both drivers and urban communities.
