Tata Motors has offered the first glimpse of the updated Punch EV ahead of its official launch on February 20. The facelift brings subtle design revisions, potential feature upgrades, and possibly improvements in driving range. Here’s everything we know so far.

      Exterior Updates

The 2026 Punch EV facelift follows a conservative design approach with minor styling tweaks rather than a complete overhaul.

At the front, the SUV gets a redesigned bumper with a cleaner look and a larger air dam. The headlamp clusters now appear bigger and feature black surrounds. The slim LED DRLs remain, but the previously connected LED DRL strip has been removed. The signature front-mounted charging flap continues to be retained. A newly designed textured faux-silver skid plate adds a fresh touch to the lower section of the bumper.

From the side, the Punch EV remains largely unchanged. It continues to sport muscular haunches, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and rear door handles mounted on the C-pillars. The only visible update is the refreshed ‘Tata.ev’ badge on the front doors.

The rear design has not yet been revealed, but it is expected to mirror the updates seen on the recently launched Punch ICE facelift. This could include connected LED taillamps and a redesigned rear bumper.

      Interior and Features

Inside, the overall layout is expected to remain familiar. The two-spoke backlit steering wheel, free-standing infotainment screen, and rotary gear selector dial are likely to be retained.

However, Tata is expected to enhance the feature list. Potential additions include:

      • A powered driver’s seat
      • A larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
      • Updated graphics for the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
      • An upgraded sound system

These would complement existing features such as a voice-enabled electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charger, ambient lighting, air purifier, and automatic headlamps.

      Safety Enhancements

Safety could see a significant upgrade with the introduction of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features for the first time in the Punch EV. In addition to this, the SUV is expected to continue offering:

      • Six airbags
      • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
      • Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with auto-hold
      • Hill Hold Assist (HHA)
      • 360-degree camera
      • Rear parking sensors

      Expected Mechanical Updates

While Tata Motors has not officially confirmed powertrain changes, the facelifted Punch EV could potentially offer improved range figures. More details are expected closer to the launch date.

With subtle design revisions, feature additions, and potential safety upgrades, the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift aims to strengthen its position in the growing compact electric SUV segment.
